And then there were three . . .

I have a new interest. . . (but don't tell Grandad Alan)

We went to Playcentre this morning. I have just discovered to woodwork table and all the bits that go with it.

It is a great place to play, they have saws, hammers and nails. Apparently girls are allowed to play at the woodwork table Grandad! Mummy said something about not listening to everything you say.

I don't know what happened to the afternoon. In fact I don't know what happened to the day. As soon as we got home I got put to bed. I have been asleep all afternoon. Something was said about me being revolting and needing a sleep.

I guess now I will get to be up all night.

Hooray!

I am the good one. . .

Mummy asked Grace for a cuddle and she said "no cuddles are yuck"

I would cuddle my Mummy anytime.

Just wondering . . .

Okay so I have a few questions:

  • Why is it okay to draw on the wall paper rolled out on the floor, but not on the wall?
  • Why is it okay to draw around the baby on the wall paper rolled out on the floor, but not on the baby?
  • What is a skid mark?

Yahoo music class and the beach!!!

This morning we were in a terrible rush, Mummy woke up at 8 and we had to be out the door at 8.30 to be in town for my first music group.

I think I should take some of the blame, I was awake last night from 2 until 5 so she didn't get much sleep.

However Luke was awake at 6, so I'm not entirely to blame.

Anyhow we picked up Gran and made it just in time. It was great, we did singing and dancing, there were scarves for twirling and instruments for making lots of noise.

Much better than the library group. Nobody told me to sit down.

After that we went the to park for lunch and played and played. Then we went to the beach and played and played some more. I'm not sure what Luke did with his day, but he was around.

All in all a very good day.

I had a sleep on the way home (I was very tired you know). Something was muttered about me sleeping all night.

We shall see.

It's raining Kirsty

Everybody is grumpy today.

I am grumpy because I was awake from 3 am until 4.30.

Luke is grumpy because he has a sore mouth.

Mummy is grumpy because I was awake from 3 am to 4.30.

She didn't even thinking it was funny when I washed the toilet wall with the toilet brush.

I thought it was a great idea, I was only trying to be helpful. (She's very tired you know).

We went to Playcentre this morning. I was very grumpy there too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My mouth is sooooo sore.

What is that all about?

Asking for it . . .

Daddy has gone to work again.

Mummy, Luke and I have been outside playing basketball. (Megan is there a New Zealand's women's basketball team, I'm quite good you know).

Then she went inside and I was left outside with Luke, my chalkboard and a heap of chalk.

What would you do?

Apparently the fun has started . . .

Was it only two short days ago that I was asking when the fun was going to start?

Seriously knowing what we know about my big sister does this look like a good idea to anyone?

Just cruising

We didn't go out at all today. Luke has been very grumpy and has cried lots. She said something about teething (not to sure what that means) but I did put my finger in his mouth. There are no teeth.

Anyway he has been grumpy all day. The louder he cries the less attention I get. He didn't even sleep for very long.

However today we did play kitchens, do lots of colouring and some gardening. I pulled the flowers off and put them over the fence.

Now that is being very helpful.

20060325

So when does the fun start?

I am starting to suspect that Grace
is getting to do all the fun stuff. She
is always doing something (and
generally loudly).

This afternoon I was put to
bed, I think they were lining up to do something interesting because she was very excited and sitting on the bench.

Perhaps I am just sleeping my life away?

I'll think about that later . . . after my sleep. . .

Our day in Kaiteriteri

I have had an excellent day. Daddy didn't go to work today so we went over to Kaiteriteri for the day. Grandad Gordon has been working over there and today was his last day, so we went over to say hi and to see his new flash digger.

Luke and I both went up into the digger, there were lots of buttons that I could have push, but don't think I was allowed to.

After visiting Grandad we went to the park and to the beach, both great places for a girl to be.

I had to have a sleep on the way home because I was so very tired, I slept until nearly 7 pm, I'm planning on being up for a while yet, Luke the big piker has already gone to bed.

Banana cake and no lollipops

We went to Playcentre this morning and we made banana cake! I helped the put the flour in and to stir the mixture. I'm not going to get to eat any though, because they are going to ice it tomorrow and I'm not going to Playcentre - we are going to go out for the day with Daddy.

After Playcentre I got put to bed, because I was very grumpy. But I didn't have a sleep, now I'm up and still grumpy. Apparently it is to late in the day to go back to bed (excellent). We have been playing with Luke and reading books. Now Luke has gone to bed and I am going to watch Little Einsteins, by far the best programme on the TV.

I have not a had nappy on all day, I have not had any accidents, I have not had any lollipops.

What's that all about?

An honour and a privilege

I was right yesterday there was an afternoon sleep, Mummy, Luke and I all went to bed and had a big sleep. It is such a waste of an afternoon, but apparently I'm much nicer to be around when I've had a sleep.

Mummy says it is a privilege to be my Mummy, but sometimes that honour gets very tiring.

Last night Daddy came home with a surprise for me. It was a baby Tiger!!! I love Tigers, some might say I am a bit obsessed by them.

Today we went into town and met Gran at the Richmond library for story time. It was sooooo boring. The only highlight of the 30 minutes was that I got to go to the toilet four times. They have really cool little toilets for little girls.

After the library we went swimming, I love going to the swimming pool. Next week I am going to get some swimming glasses, hooray.

I am a bit concerned about the lollipop supply, it seems to be drying up. They still get excited when I go to the toilet, but don't seem to be handing over the goods as readily. Not to sure what that is all about.

Messy play and afternoon sleeps

Well we are back from Playcentre. It was very quiet this morning because there weren't many kiddies there.

I did lots of painting, played with the playdough and on the outside toys. Mum says Playcentre is a great place because I can play with all the messy stuff there and not mess up her house.

I think it is going to be a lazy afternoon. I haven't had an afternoon nap for eight days. I don't think it is going to be nine.

Finally a photo . . .

Mummy has been having trouble downloading the photos on to our page (something about bloody buggery computers). So there were no photos yesterday.

Here is a photo of me brushing my teeth this morning. She took the plug away from me though, because one day I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and playing with the water and the whole floor got covered in water.

That was a good day, Mummy wasn't very happy about it though. I must remember to have a look and see if I can find where she hid the plug.

Last night I slept in my bed all night! She has started putting me in there after I go to sleep in her bed. I blame the baby for this sort of carry on, that never happened before he turned up.

Anyway it is a smaller bed than what I am used to and I fall out of it nearly every night. It gives a girl a terrible fright to be sound asleep and then to hit the floor with a thud.

We are off to playcentre soon. Mummy said it is a very long morning waiting for 10 o'clock to come when we have been up since 6. Something about day light savings (I have no idea what that is).

A day at home

We stayed at home all day today. It is our first day of doing nothing for nearly a week. Luke has had some big sleeps and Mummy and I have been playing, drawing on my chalk board, dancing and reading.

This morning I was watching TV when I heard lots of yelling and screaming. Mummy had gone to put the rubbish out and when she opened the door Tiber walked past with a live mouse in her mouth. I don't think my Mummy likes mice very much. Apparently Tiber is a little bastard and when she has a mouse in her mouth you are allowed to throw all the shoes by the back door at her.

I have not had a nappy on all day. I'm still learning about the this toilet training thing. Today I have learnt that you are not supposed to do poos in Daddy's wood shed.

Still scoring lollipops though.

The indignity of being a baby

I do realise that I have not been around for very long (on Monday it will be 16 weeks). During this time I have heard a lot of people comment about how helpless and vulnerable babies are.

As a baby I would just like to say not only are we vulnerable in the respect that we can't physically do anything for ourselves, but we also can't physically protect ourselves from the sadistic streaks that parents have that lead them to think photos like this one are funny.

It will probably haunt me for the rest of my life.

However I do have a very subtle way of protesting.

A day in town

We had a day in town today. Aunty Mary told us to come to the school gala, so we picked up Gran to go, but Mummy didn't read Aunty Mary's email properly and the gala is actually on tomorrow.

So instead Mummy, Gran, Luke and I went to the park and to the beach. At the park I went on the swings, the slides and a merry go round.

After the park we went down to the beach, where I stripped off and run around on the sand naked, apparently that is something I won't be doing for long (not to sure what that means).

We went to McDonalds for lunch. Hooray McDonalds!

In the afternoon we went back to Gran's house and Grandad was there, Hooray Grandad! He fixed the swing for me so I can get on it myself.

Daddy turned up and we had tea with Gran and Grandad. Luke and I had a bath there to but he didn't stay in for long. Something about him not liking water thrown in his face.

I went to the toilet heaps today, no accidents.

I don't think they have lollipops at Gran's house.

20060317

and something from Luke . . .

Look what she did to me!!!!

Mum went out to get the washing and left me on the floor, unguarded!

That was her first mistake.

Grace found some stickers in the drawer and the rest is obvious!!!

Also she is right to suspect I am making her look bad. Last night she woke up at 3am and was still awake at 5.30, I slept through the whole thing.

I truely am a perfect baby. (so far)

Busy morning and lollipops

Mum said we had to do our post today before Dad gets home. Fair enough too I say, he just makes more work.

This morning Molly and Katrise came to play with me. They are two students from the school that my Mummy teaches at. They are both doing a childcare course at school and need real children to practice on and entertain. The girls having been coming over every second Friday morning, which I love. Today we blew bubbles, played in the sandpit and played kitchens. Then they took me over to school and we made playdough.

Molly took me to the playcentre where we found Mum and Luke at the baby massage course. Today was the last day. Luke loves his baby massage and Mum has gotten quite good at it. Dad now lines up for foot massages (he may have to wait until he is out of the bad books before his next one) and I help Mum massage Luke's arms and back.

She is still trying the toilet training thing. Yesterday I went in the potty three times and got three lollipops (I quite like toilet training) although I did overhear her telling someone that when the lollipops are gone she is going to use pebbles instead, I think I'm being ripped off.

No blog

My Daddy is in big trouble. This afternoon Mum and I went for a walk and when we came back he had deleted my blogsite!!! Bad Daddy!!!

Anyway this morning we went to playcentre and there were so many people there. But is a good thing, heaps of kiddies to play with.

When we got home I was going to help my Daddy stack the wood, but he had a St John's call out and wasn't home, so I played with Mummy instead.

Still not jumping on the baby. However tempting it maybe. I was pulling on his arms, but got caught and growled at again.

(Mum is having trouble downloading photos, but is trying to work it all out, I don't know what is happening, is to hard for me to figure out).
