Bugs and parcels . . .

We have had a very quiet day, because of the bugs. They are dropping like flies around here, now Granddad has the most terribly serious version of the flu that it is possible to have. Mummy got a text from Nanny in Sydney and she said we had to look after Granddad and she is very pleased that she is not here.

We went out in the middle of the day for a bit of a drive, we got McDonalds from the drive-through for lunch and went down to the Cobden tip head to eat in it the car, that was fun. Then we went to see Granddad at work, but someone had taken him home so we headed home too.

When we got home there was a parcel for me, from Charlie in Christchurch. She sent me a copy of Hairy Maclary’s Bone. Thanks Charlie it is an excellent book, I don’t have that one. You are quite the detective finding me and posting me a parcel, well done you.

Mummy tired to convince Luke and me to have a lie down and a sleep this afternoon, but that didn’t go to well, we were not interested. Mummy was the tired one, not us. However in the late afternoon (apparently just when you don’t want a girl to fall asleep) I fell asleep on Granddad’s chair.

Excellent I shall be up all night again. Nice.
