. . . how does your garden grow? Quite well actually, things are starting to happen! The strawberries, lettuces and radishes are looking good. How exciting!
Tonight when I was watering my garden Daddy was scrubbing down the picnic table. It turned into a big water fight! I had so much fun!

Your garden looks fabulous Gracie, well done. My Thomas wanted to grow Peas so he could eat them off the plants pods and all when they were ready. Very enthusiastically he helped prepare the soil, planted the seeds and watered them in.......... then that was it! The novelty has clearly worn off and now it is up to me to do the rest. Well, the plants are now 12 inches high and climbing nicely up the wire on the fence. I also planted cocktail tomatoes and lettuces called Drunken Woman. How very odd! Isn't growing plants fun?!

Charlie I love my garden! It is a lot of work though, so it is good that I have Mummy to help me look after it.
We are growing peas too, but I don't like them. Mummy said I might like them when they have grown . . . but we will see!
Mummy said that is a great name for a lettuce!

Yes great name for a lettuce, heavens knows why they chose that name, but when your 12 year old sun spots them at the garden centre and yells out "hey mum these lettuces are called "Drunken Woman" you should get some" you really have to think long and hard about why he said that and should I really own up to that fact that he was my son??!!!!! Needless to say they are thriving in my garden, clearly they are quite at home!
